Yay for cold weather. Finally broke down and turned on my heat. But that is because my gf gave me her cold... So I have a bit of a fever atm and can't get warm. Normally I am fine in a 60 house... but not today.

I don't think linguistics is politics any more than weather is about religion!
All I was saying, we live in a multilingual nation just get use to it...
+1 to cosy for the updated info on that vote. Let's hope they don't pick Pig Latin as the national language.
@I pwnd U: Sounds like you have cars like around here. I was at the store today (wish I had my camera) this minivan had duct tape and plastic on the driver's door. I would not call the plastic very transparent either.
Oh, remember those panhandlers I mentioned before. There is a new one who has a small dog. Her sign reads something about feeding her dog. She was dressed well enough and I pointed her out to my friend in the passenger seat. He rolled his window down and yelled to her, "EAT THE DOG!".
I hope she returns there (as so many do) I want to get a picture of her.
There is a man who holds a cardboard sign in that same spot and his reads "HELP VET". I would sooner give to a soldier, but the same friend pointed out that if he got a dishonorable discharge he doesn't deserve it.
What are your thoughts on the sign holders? It wouldn't kill me to give the man a can of beans or something right?

When you start talking about laws and lawmakers that is politics.

Thanks cosy. I got my fever to break last night by going to bed in flannel pants, long socks, a shirt and a hoodie under all my covers. I woke up at like 11pm sweating (went to bed at 9) and was able to take off all the excess and sleep comfortable the rest of the night. Hopefully the worst holds out until this weekend...
Yup, Slayers place, Slayers rules.
I'm currently reading Quiet Strength by Tony Dungy. Fantastic book. Highly recommended.

I am sorry, but my thought was this was the "off topic" or "potluck", my posts content was not about religion or politics. I didn't troll or flame, I cannot be so mundane as to talk about the weather. I thought I was contributing but I suppose not.

Politics is one of those topics that just doesn't belong on a Guild Wars forum,it's even in the rules
Unfortunately,Slayer is in this case the big bad dog,and you're in his yard.

Who'd a thunk? Rules... Huh. New one! But ya, if you don't like our rules and feel like you should just leave than that is your choice. No one is forcing you to leave, we are simply asking you to abide by the rules.
Heat? Yup, on again. Cause it is windy as heck out...

That was my first thought too. But for some reason it only kicks in around 5th hour (Noon)... I usually wake up with a sore neck if I slept on it wrong... So weird.

Hi guys haven't been on in a few days as our dog has a case of the following: IDIOPATHIC VESTIBULAR DISEASE
Canine idiopathic vestibular disease (also called "Old dog vestibular disease") and, its feline counterpart, feline idiopathic vestibular disease, begin acutely and resolve acutely. Usually improvement is evident in 72 hours and ]the animal is normal in 7-14 days, possibly with an occasional head tilt persisting. When a case of vestibular disease presents, it may be a good idea to wait a few days to see if improvement occurs before doing diagnostics beyond a routine blood/urine database. These two conditions are idiopathic, meaning we do not know why they occur. We do know that they represent problems in the periphery (nerves of the middle ear rather than in the actual brain.)
Treatment of idiopathic vestibular disease generally involves control of nausea (motions sickness) while the condition runs its (relatively short) course.
We thought she was having a stroke late Wednesday afternoon, it was very traumatic for her and us. She has been unable to walk on her own so we have had to assist her when she needs to relieve herself(a towel under her body to help guide her). We have seen improvement each day and she is eating well. It's a big weekend here, the Head of the Charles Regatta runs today and tomorrow and it is the 2nd largest in the world, the weather shouild be perfect for them.
